What Do You Need to Get Started

Are you ready to cut all the coupons you have? Here is a list of items you might want to have to get started.
1. Large Three Ring Binder
2. Baseball Card Holders (found at Walmart in office supply area) start with about 10 packs
3. Dividers (20)
4. Stapler and Staples
5. Enevelopes

If you dont want to file them in a binder have a small file box that you can lable with dates you bought the papers. This will help you find the coupons you will need.

You will find the system that works for you best. Just remember you are the one doing the shopping, and you need to be able to find the coupons you need.

How Many Papers Do I Buy

I have been asked many times how I cut my coupons. Here is my rule of thumb to get the most out of your stockpile. I have a family of 4, and I buy 2 papers per person.. so every Sunday Im off to Walgreens to get 4 double stacks of papers. If there is a really good sale I may buy more.
So rule of thumb each family member should get their own double stack of papers. Dont forget to include the baby. There are many coupons for baby products. If there is just 2 of you and you really want to stockpile your items use the rule for 4 people. This will help you in not going to the store to buy items you would need. Just go to the cuboard get what you need. Its like having a grocery store in your house without having to pay for it, stand in line, fight the crowds. Once you get the hang of it you will have a stockpile of shampoo's, bar soap. body wash, razors, toothpaste etc.. Most time you will be able to get bar soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes for free along with other items. As for food... get ready. You will need to figure out where you are going to put all your findings. I have learned to use the top of the cabnets, to stack up my finds.. So remember 2 papers per person will ensure you will have a heafty stockpile.
